By ground or by ladder, it is always important to inspect your roof this time of the year.  Upon inspection some key elements to be looking for are the following:

Look for any cracked, broken, or missing shingles. Should you find that your shingles are compromised you will need to have them replaced.

Make sure that all vent pipes and chimneys are properly sealed with caulk or flashing. This deflects water from coming in at the seams.

Moss growing on your roof could be a sign of decay or water damage. Removing the moss will allow you to investigate further and address any issue that you uncover.

If you are unable to inspect the roof yourself we recommend calling in a professional to handle the task.
